Methodology
Our
methodology has been formulated over many years of implementing business
intelligence, Performance Management and Data warehousing solutions. It was
developed by the principal Grant Paisley, the current chair of the
Sydney SQL Server User Group and an MS MVP for SQL Server with enormous
experience in delivering the right results with innovative design across a
diverse customer base.
Project Plan
We work with you to clearly understand the key aspects and
objectives, both business and technical, of the overall project. We agree on
roles and responsibilities and identify key personnel and sponsors. We document
this and confirm it prior to commencing work.
Set Up / Preparation
As
required, we supply, set up, configure or install. We can advise your IT
department on requirements and potential re-use or re-purposing of existing
assets.
Data Source Analysis and Design
We take the results of the project plan and research the
scope of data at your company. We summarise a proposed solution. We focus the
design on responsive end user analysis whilst maintaining flexibility.
Scope of Work
Our
report includes best estimates of the overall time to implement the
application. Both parties must agree before we proceed to application
development.
Application Development and Implementation
Based on
our agreed approach, we configure and integrate the various MS tools to deliver
the solution. Our data migration is managed to work with your schedules so that
you do not have to suffer unnecessary downtime.
Knowledge Transfer
During
the implementation, and based on our customers’ resources, we train staff in
maintenance and ongoing application development.
User Acceptance Testing and Sign Off
We are
focused on delivering a solution for the business users, so we obviously
encourage feedback and UAT (based on scope) near completion of our project.
Both user representatives sign-off on the project.
Integrate the services
We
ensure all your applications are integrated to support your business processes,
sharing and re-using data as required. |
